IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS:



  1. Nil.


FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:



  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Laingsburg Municipality of the Western Cape and the north-western parts of the Eastern Cape.


ADVISORIES:



  1. An intense cold front is expected to affect the Eastern Cape and in places over the Western Cape on Thursday spreading to KwaZulu-Natal on Friday. The public and small stock farmers are advised that very cold, wet and windy conditions can be expected with snow on the high-lying areas.

  2. A cut off low is expected to affect the Eastern Cape, southern and western Free State, eastern and south-eastern parts of the Northern Cape from Friday night into Saturday resulting in very cold, wet and windy conditions with snow on the high-lying areas.


Gauteng:


Temperature: Partly cloudy in the morning, otherwise fine and cool.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.


Mpumalanga:


Temperature: Cloudy on the Highveld and along the escarpment areas at first with early morning fog patches, otherwise partly cloudy and cool, becoming fine by the afternoon.


Limpopo:


Temperature: Cloudy in the western parts at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm, becoming fine by the afternoon.


North-West Province:


Temperature: Partly cloudy in the eastern and central parts at first, otherwise fine, windy and cool.


Free State:


Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east at first, otherwise fine, windy and cool.


Northern Cape:


East temperature: Fine and cool but warm in the north. It will become cloudy along the coast from the afternoon. It will be windy in places over the interior.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.


Western Cape:


Temperature: Cloudy to partly cloudy in the west and the south from the afternoon, otherwise fine and cold to cool but warm in the north-east. Light

rain can be expected along the south-west coast at night.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly in the south and the south-west, spreading to the west coast

by the evening, otherwise southerly to south-easterly.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.


Eastern Cape:


The Western half Temperature: Fine and cool to warm, becoming partly cloudy west of Port Alfred during the evening.


The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to north-westerly, becoming southerly to south-westerly by the afternoon, but fresh to strong westerly by late evening.


The Eastern half Temperature: Fine and cool to warm.


The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate northerly to north-westerly, becoming easterly to north-easterly by the afternoon, but fresh to strong south-westerly by the evening.


Kwazulu-Natal:


Temperature: Fine and warm but cool in the south-west.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly.
