Hennessy Artistry Presents the Cyphers 2021

 

Lagos, Nigeria – Hennessy Artistry, a unique integrated global platform that brings together some of the most talented artists on stage for an eclectic mix of musical talents, through a fusion of music, art, and culture, has unveiled its 2021 Cyphers. The platform has made an undeniable impact on the urban culture in Nigeria – recreating and redefining pop culture trends.

The eclectic mix of artists featured in the 2021 Hennessy Artistry Cyphers includes Vector, MI, Ycee. Ladipoe, Preacher Kingz, Alpha Ojini, Matosan, Escore Gotti, PsychoYP, Laudreyes, Barrylanez and Legendary Styles.

Speaking on the Cyphers, Marketing Manager Moët Hennessy Nigeria, Oluwole Awoleke stated:

“Over the years, Hennessy has been heavily invested in celebrating Nigeria’s Hip-Hop Culture and we have watched the dreams of budding artists blossom into reality. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, musical opportunities still abound in Nigeria, and this year, we are back again with another edition of Hennessy Artistry – The Cyphers. We will continue to support the creative industry in Nigeria by providing a platform for Nigeria’s wealth of creative talent to showcase themselves to the world”.

Obsessed Fan Stalks Ariana Grande, Shows Up At Her House With Weapon

Ariana Grande’s obsessed fan has been caught trying to see her with a weapon in his hand.

The scene was reportedly frightening as the fan was said to have shown up with a weapon.

The singer, like many celebrities, has been staving off her fair share of stalkers and obsessive fans. The newlywed got married back in May to a real estate broker,  Dalton Gomez, and while she is trying to enjoy the first months of her new life, someone has been showing up at her home.

In May 2020, Ariana received a five-year restraining order against a stalker fan who snuck onto her property. However, yesterday, TMZ reported that someone else did the same, this time with a weapon.

TMZ reported that a man identified as 23-year-old, Aaron Brown was captured around 2:00 a.m. in the morning at the singer’s Hollywood Hills property.

He showed up at Ariana’s residence and reportedly “demanded” to see her, but her security refused to let him in. When they told him to leave the area, Brown reportedly wielded a knife resulting in the Los Angeles Police Department being called to the scene.

Brown was arrested and is “facing a felony brandishing charge.” Ariana reportedly has already filed for a temporary restraining order against him.

2baba Calls On Linguistics Professors To Package Pidgin English

Nigerian musician, 2baba has urged linguists professors to package West Africa’s lingua franca, pidgin english.

This morning, the African Queen Crooner hopped on Twitter to call on linguist professors to work on making the widely spoken language in Nigeria and West Africa officially recognized.

According to 2baba, it’s important that the language is granted official status as well included in schools’ curriculum. He asserts that pidgin language is the only language that people irrespective of their age, ethnicity, status can understand and learn easily.

2baba’s appeal is coming days after he returned from the US amidst the trouble in his relationship. Twitter users are certain that there was an issue related to pidgin English and that’s why he is on Twitter advocating for it.

This morning, the Joromi crooner took to Instagram to trash out the idea of revenge against people who never believed in them. Simi queried Nigerians on why they should care about people who never believed in them.

According to Simi, if she’s working or winning in life, it is a result of her deserving it and not her ‘Peppering her haters’. She disclosed that people who never believed in her are kicking rocks and she is okay with it.

Simi advised Nigerians against going on social media to talk on the subject. She added that 98% of Nigerians have people they didn’t believe had potential and those people surprisingly made it in life.
